A Song to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel

© 2015  Maggid ben Yoseif / Eldersgate-Standing Tree American Indian Council

(Seventy-seven stanzas of this 90-stanza epic poem were given by Wakhan Tanka (Great Spirit) during the first two days of Hanukah, 1984. Additional stanzas related to the Native American End-Times Gileadite priesthood were inspired from 2008-2012. The final editing and revisions and interspersed stanzas were given during Hanukah, 2014. In 30 years, I’ve had three invitations to recite this evolving, highly revelatory message, in which Y’shua (Jesus) comes through in first person the final 60 stanzas. But it has influenced much of my research into the restoration of Native American spiritual sovereignty, thus the extensive footnotes and biblical references.  The terms of this copyright are that the URL only, http://www.torah-voice.org/thylightiscome.htm  may be disseminated without otherwise obtaining permission from me directly.  I would also like to make an audio version available free on-line for impaired readers and invite invitations to do a recitation accompanied by incidental music to that end. Also, for those without Internet access, a published version is needed, if there is a publisher interested in “freely spreading the Light.” Silver and gold have we absolutely none; but that which Creator has entrusted to us, is given freely for all to read and ponder.  I pray that proclaiming the “balm of Gilead,” and the “horn of the re’eim” (buffalo) will be like a healing copal root to the Nations with the proclamation of the Seventh Generation and Native American spiritual sovereignty restored.

– HOA! (AHO) MITAKUYE OYASIN –Dedicated “To all my relations” -  MbY

Why do I not believe he is who they say?

Does blindness cover my mind to this day? [1]

And how is it my Lion should  possibly agree

With what only my Wambli flys high to see?

Grandfather, your Creation was ...when Mama was young. [2]

Upon you alone, Wakhan Tanka, my faith has clung.

So do I need a messiah this people says ... has already come?

And the mention of THAT name ... it leaves me numb.

Great Mystery, Grandfather, make this clear.

As the cry of a Red Tail circling above to be sure I hear.

Help My People Remember as the Wilderness draws near

As Father Drums sound and canupas draw smoke as Mama starts to tear.[3]

This man they say who died on a cross

And draws to him all who are “lost” ...

What a noble cause to live to do?.

Does even death have meaning? ... but this, this is not You?[4]

We are one with Earth Mother; in lodge, we kiss her dust

So why, Wakhan Tanka, in any man should we trust?

In THAT name, nations have warred, divided and hated

Yet always we’ve known, we’re all related![5]

Now Grandfather, you throw us a lure.

Forgive me if this thought’s not so pure.

If we would choose to forget and forgive

Is there again a way My People can live?

Chieftains and elders long ponder

An undying war in minds and hearts

How can we all be mitakuyase and the same kin[6]

Brothers’ keepers with hostility, distrust and warts?

Again the Bible thumpers come telling us we need a new birth

Our ceremonies and Father drums and flutes and pipes pagan and of no worth

About that the missionaries must surely be wrong.

My dreams tell me holy ancestors taught us to drum and sing our song.

What evidence exists?

Tell me what is right.

The truth only I seek.

Bring it to light.

Dare I adventure into their domain?

A sleeper, I’d be to see through THAT NAME.

I must go with this whim, be it radical, be it bold.

This question must be answered to be at peace within my soul.

So here I am now as an undercover cop.

I can talk their talk; they won’t suspect a drop.

A greeter’s hug welcomes me at the open double doors

So different than lodge; everything polished, even shiny floors.

How … touching this organ; it breathes to my soul.

What joy they show in claiming to be whole.

They all seem happy and claim to be blessed,

Am I a little jealous of this ... their “glorious rest?” [7]

There’s a few dancing and even whooping out loud.

And what’s this talk about a glory cloud?

And now, the mood is somber, reverent it might appear.

Utter silence, unnerving. Who do they wait to hear?

Now, here’s a prayer there’s fixing to be.

Lets see if he’s a straight arrow. He won’t fool me.

Nothing ...in those words that seemed out of joint,

But without washing

And drawing sacred tobacco in canupa, what’s the point? [8]

And now what to my wondering ears shall hear...

A man of “Gawd” he says ... pardon my jeer.

... Now how did he know ... I read that just last night?

And ... my question is answered.  Is ... is he that bright?

Questions … I’ve had from years on end,

They’re all getting answers ... from ... some ... Wakhan ... wind.

Surely something Heyoka[9] is going on inside here?

Or Tunkasila, Grandfather, Great Spirit are You drawing near?

And every sentence he uses contains ...THAT NAME.

If I hear it often enough, is it supposed to make the wild in me tame?.

I feel a light surrounding me as I start to tremble and shake

These words penetrate my soul. How can this be a fake?

I’ve got to get out. I’ve got to run to the door.

But wait, now he’s stopping ... or thinking up more.

But … to no demon does canupa give place;

And Tenrivers or Cryingeagle pouring.[10] first round in lodge, you’d be on your face

A Heyoka scheme, it’s got to be,

Big Brother is Tunkasila? ... you’ve not convinced me.

I’ll admit you’ve stated some truth and persuaded me to think

But understand will you, I’m not on the brink.

So now what are you doing, as you sing in your tongues

And those around you praise your King at the top of their lungs.

“There’s a spiritual seeker in the crowd you say...

He’s come to find our truth and the evidence to weigh.”

How, how did you ... you know.  That’s me you must be describing.

Did I give myself away when your collection plate was passed,

by doing the biblical thing and not “tithing?”[11]

There’s more you say, well let’s hear it now, I must.

“The Rock of Joseph says, ‘The fullness has come and M’nashe hears from the dust.’”[12]

And yet more you add as my head begins to reel.

“It’s all by faith, Native ones.

The Torah, the Prophets and the End-Times priestly ministry you’re to fulfill.”[13]

“Is there a Native American brother among us?” you ask.  Shall I raise my hand?

I’m compelled. I mustn’t. I’m only mixed ... as one of many grains on Turtle Island

An ocean of sacred land.[14]

“AHO!” I yell, remembering this is the 7th Generation and Noah said those words first.

“Come on up,” he invites, “there’s nothing to fear,” but this is unrehearsed.

He’s talking to me but no, it’s not him. His eyes tell me it’s not.

I hear every word.  They’re sinking deep in. What is happening? Tell me. What?

All of my miserable misfit life, a son of Joseph, I’ve been drawn to Israel’s God.[15]

I feel Him now all around me as this preacher talks about Jesse’s rod.

I’ve torn apart your Book seeking clues to My People’s fate

And something there calls to me like a hungry fish lured to bait.

But wait … do not sundancers to Grandfather’s grace yearly renew

All nations from Apache to Lakota Sioux?

Need we enter into a strange covenant’s grace? Must we also take that leap?

Or, should we just Remember what we have forgotten to keep?[16]

Dancers’ pierced leave fatty flesh and blood at a Chosen tree[17]

What manner of blood covenant can this be?

Does it meet Moses’ terms of old?

Then Native sons are part of the original Torah fold!

A covenant with Creator renewed yearly at a tree?

Is this part of Israel the world does not see?

“By faith, My son,” a small voice comes to me.

OK, Grandfather, I’ll try to believe Your leading and what my dreams say, can be. [18]

But now, what do I do?  What of the material world and its “infection”?

Do I now live apart from family and friends or endure from them rejection?

Long ago, I read in a book that right or wrong, family and friends deserve loyalty and respect.

How do I now turn to Torah ways and still live the life they expect?

Y’you, were despised and rejected you say.  Should I expect more kindly?

M’my ancestors believed you say? And followed their hearts blindly?

You were the means? ‑ The fulfillment? How can this all be? – A covenant renewal for Israel’s scattered kin?[19]

But ... often, I’d wondered how Torah’d be kept, with no sacred tipi, altar or holy men.[20]

So now, my ... my Y’shua, in the quietness of my thought

Explain to me, Big Brother, the mysteries in Torah I’ve never been taught.

Teach me good, now, so to others I can proclaim

And back up with logic a TRUE Gospel worthy of your name.[21]

“Listen now, my son, open your heart and receive

The meaning of the types -- first, how Sarah did conceive.

Why is it hard to think that from a virgin I could be born a Jew?

Isaac, like Daganoweida[22] were miracles from closed wombs, too.[23]

“Isaac was spared because the thicket snared the horns of a ram.

But a tzadik[24] renewed covenant for the Lost Sheep.

We drank on it, broke the Covenant bread and ate the Passover lamb.[25]

Again, it was the thicket that entangled the horns.

Just as I did not weave for myself that crown of thorns.[26]

 “And hear the cry of that ram caught and snared;

Eloi, Eloi, lemana shabakthani,’ ... My God, My God for this I was spared.”[27]

Abraham and Isaac only rehearsed the story and practiced the part.

The curtain was set for Grandfather, Big Brother and a renewed covenant[28] to change the heart

“Reason too, the point of a spear in my side.

The Lamb with not a bone broken, was bled not within the camp ... but outside.

I was carried to the Door of the Tabernacle of that First World Kingdom from which I was sent.

My blood sprinkled on the altar THERE was the offering for peace

... after which the Temple veil was rent.[29]

“Not from bottom to top, but from top to bottom it was torn, so by Whose hand?

And why did “It is finished!” precede that command?

The blood of a tzadik was spilled reconciling Grandfather and man.

A cry louder than that of Abel;

My offering, your invitation to eat ANYTIME at Grandfather’s table.[30]

“I am their scapegoat and their slain goat, too;

Their need, His requirements year after year they renew.

It was finished because the First World was fulfilled;

The tabernacle, the offerings, and the Everlasting Temple I did build.[31]

“Unleavened “frybread” striped and pierced all should break each Passover Feast[32]

Though wrapped in white and hidden away, still without yeast

Returns at the Third Cup, for a renewed covenant I was sown.[33]

Thus Grandfather’s anointed[34], by grace, for the leaven in their lives does atone.[35]

Hear again the whole song of Moses.[36] Train your eyes to see

The way, truth and life of Torah is all contained in me.[37]

Before Abraham was, were my commandments given light

A partner in Creation, I was, so that Mama’s day follows her night.[38]

“Abraham’s seed scattered into every nation

With the Four Winds Grandfather made his graft[39]

Ephraim’s fate resting with Gilead’s station

Its balm to heal the enmity of Joseph divided in half.[40]

“And the song Moses sang at the sea:

‘Way-Ha-Yah-Ho-Way-Ha-Yah[41] has become our SAVIOUR’ is come to be.

This name Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not told.

Before Moses “sang,” it was not known in times of old.[42]

“And the place where the ram was slain,

Is where I AM is first called by the Provider’s name.

As Abraham prepared the altar base,

He prophesied I would come to elevate you from your place.[43]

“My son, God Himself will provide the Lamb,” Isaac was told.

But a ram was sent that day.  Nor has any before me come to Joseph from the Heavenly fold.

I had to die an emblem of shame for wickedness, betrayal and covenant broken in hearts of men;

Without protest, a Lamb led to slaughter ... my life an offering for willful sin.[44]

“My moccasins walk the same path many times over in Scripture,

So you can see and understand the completed picture.

Even the crossing of Kidron brook,

I was THERE when David too, Jerusalem forsook.[45]

“I am all in all as it has been said.

In the seed of a corn mother.  In a loaf of bread.

Also the true Manna that fell in the wilderness each day.

All, Grandfather’s direction to an empty succah and my bed of hay.[46]

“From Beth‑lechem, House of Bread and Naomi’s corn,

Comes the Bread of God, which I am born.

In the city of David who did foretell,

“Thou shalt feed MY PEOPLE, the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.”[47]

“Unleavened bread I was grist to be;

Fine flour sifted in Gethsemane.

Seed for the sower, for ceremony and to bring forth sheaves for first fruits

Bread so The People May Live to cast deep roots.[48]

“The Word Incarnate as the Ark did represent.

Can you not discern the type of me was meant?

A Living Word on priestly shoulders is the Prince of Peace you did carry.

As on every Simchat Torah, we dance together on my birthday and prophetically, we marry.[49]

“I am the Law Everlasting, unlike the stones Moses cast down from the mountain.

I am  the  Life Eternal and shared with all who thirst and drink from my fountain.

I am the Torah of God who is never smashed ... and also never broken

When written on tablets inside your hearts, so Way-Ha-Ya-Ho-Way-Ha-Yah has spoken.[50]

“Judah can sum every jot and tittle in all the books.  The middle verses they recite.

Eyes so wide open, yet without Elijah’s vision, priestly direction or insight.[51]

I am Aleph and I am Tav and every consonant between.

My Light is all around you but only with a soft heart is it easily seen.[52]

“In lodge you see with spiritual eyes and ears and hear your Earth Mother speak

As ancestors taught, you sing the “Song of Moses,” as priests to her witness every week.

There are other priests and other folds where Gilead has been before

But from the Four Corners, the Four Winds now announce:

“Gore away the arrogance, self-importance, disdain, greed and mean

Point to Torah Ways to divide between sacred and common, unclean and clean

Declare as Moses that Way-Ha-Ya-Ho-Way-Ha-Ya IS Wakhan Tanka, the one Lord

His Great Spirit with mine and yours, like braided sweetgrass, a three-fold cord.[53]

“This profession and mystery, David sang between.

Of “The Lord said unto my lord,” what did he mean?

If the scribe who answered me wisely only had a heart to hear

He would have known then that it was I who was near.[54]

“When Joshua was told to meditate on the Law night and day

Was this not speaking of the spiritual way?

Look beyond the letter of the Law.  Open your heart to spiritual food.

Write my commands in your hearts, there contemplate and brood.[55]

“Walk by faith. Trust Creator. Serve without conditions.

Truth must always come before your traditions.

To be children of Abraham, be charitable, and open your tipi as he did.

He kept the Law in his heart.  There it was meditated and hid.

“As Scripture says he did obey and serve,

Every commandment and statute and law he did observe,

Hundreds of years before religion or tradition.

And I tell you of a truth ... Abraham did keep a kosher kitchen.[56]

“Obedience is still better than sacrifice.  And you’ve circumcised your heart this day.

The only sin unforgiven is the heart that never sees ... The Truth, the Life and The Way.

The Spirit of Torah’s the thing.  Hoka Hey! you’ll see!.

Know the Torah. My Truth will set you free.[57]

“Truth is always the truth but in its time, is magnified

And so Wakhan days are given in which truth may abide

But be sure your times are sacred ones. To be sure, bring them to the Tree.

Truth will stand every test and there are birthdays

Whose place and time are not of me.[58]

“Shoot straight arrows with your words and deeds. Broken arrows cannot bond brothers across the land

Fulfill every vow or be prepared to suffer from Creator’s merciful but exacting hand

Look to the needs of your elders and your poor and appreciate tradition and ceremony kept.

Elijah’s spirit will make sense of it all.

Why for millennia My People have suffered, been persecuted and wept.

“To obtain the feather of the Great Wambli you must grab hold

And learn line upon line, precept upon precept, things new and things old

Sit with the sages and spiritual warriors alike, constantly sifting and discerning

Great Spirit is your teacher now; heed the voice from your belly and its churning.

“Without the shedding of blood, your willfullness has no remission.

That’s the covenant’s strength

You pray, you suffer, you give alms, you repent ... And you do it all at length.

But now, this day, you’re surrendered to Creator

With your will altogether completely and totally unraveled to a thread and undone.

You’ve found your messiah and the dance of Gilead around a Chosen One in the sun.[59]

“Now ask what you will, and see if I do not perform with Grandfather’s glory.

Messiah’s seed bruises the enemy’s head and now YOU truly are part of that story.

And behold how precious this preserved pouch of priestly seed.

Levi mixed with Joseph, the preserved of Gilead to heal the nations’ arrogance and greed.[60]

“In the dark of the moon with arrows from a bow,Jonathan and David made their pact[61]

Between houses of Joseph and Judah, Return and Reunion is surely backed

Forever, a vow that will not pass away

Sealed without blood, waiting to be honored today.

“At the time of redemption, it will come to full light

As the sun yields to the moon from day to night

When the hearts of the sons are toward their fathers

And brothers become brothers and not “bothers.”

“And what a bright shining day that will be

Even righting astronomy![62]

Sun and moon shining the same in the sky

As the beginning of every month draws nigh.”

“Do your eyes now behold the star in the East shining bright?

Joseph owns the birthright, but to the sceptre, only I have the right.

Who else from Judah meets the condition?

And Shiloh is both my Kingdom and vengeance come

... Of the latter times spoke Balaam’s vision.[63]

“I’m calling your people now before me as Joseph did his brothers.

Did they know him in Egypt?  Did they have the same mothers?

Yet was Joseph vengeful?  For their acts against him, did he show hate?

So why did he wait before making himself known? Was it for Benjamin’s sake?[64]

“Every knee first bowed so that hearts could confess.

That Joseph was sold for slave’s hire and dress.

The sons of Jacob could not see their master in Egypt’s face without Israel’s favorite son.

Nor does Ephraim mixed with the nations enter Grandfather’s Eternal Place

... Without the Light of the seed of David,  His anointed one.[65]

Hear again the sermon on the Mount of my vision quest

Elders to nephews teach and live these words as a daily test.

Humility and obedience earn the Wambli feather, the headdress and a place in Grandfather’s tipi.

So you suffer that the People May Live and keep them alive weekly in inipi.

To the fountain of Living Water, come and drink anew and afresh without cost

Thy Light is Come and Truth has won and My sheep are found that were lost.[66]

“Cry no more for a worldly king, a Saul in the flesh to rule you.

For it’s not by power or might but by Great Spirit you own your Sovereignty due.

Messiah is not of this Second World.  Find my kingdom in the First. Yet both are here and now.

No politician or world figure can save you.  To him, you must not bow.[67]

“Jacob’s time of trouble must come, but that time surely will be cut in half.

You’re Grandfather’s elect, His priestly warriors, His few.  For you He has prepared this salve.

Another Goliath will bow his knee and be slain in the sight of all.

“For I am the Bethlehemite ... the son of Jesse I am  ... as David said to Saul.””[68]

“The atrocities, the murders in my name, I did not do.  All men do I love.

My hand raised in this? Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Even for those who scourged and reviled me, be he among the Gentiles, Gilead or a Jew,

My own petition was voiced long ago, “Father, forgive them.   They know not what they do.”[69]

“Against hypocrisy are my parables aimed as I still come to judge

Whether words match deeds and the people’s needs concern leaders

Or their blinded hearts are too hardened to budge.

Beware politicians, especially those who persuade the Temple purse

They intimidate and deceive the people and can make your name a curse.[70]

“They deserve the “fate of the cross” in keeping with Cyrus decree.

Because they refuse to enter or build Creator’s spiritual tipi themselves

And keep others from the knowledge, opportunity or even from finding the key.

To One Cephas  ‑ the stone ‑ it was thus given spiritual ears to hear

That I am messiah  and so he was renamed Petros: the rock ... And no longer the object of jeers.[71]

“And not even in the account Rome received from Pilate

Were the faithful Hasidim among the violent.

The Kingdom of Heaven was then administered by force

And of that seed and those fruits, I say unto you, Heaven was not the source.[72]

“Yet Creator has hidden mysteries in the parables I speak

The understanding sought by sages revealed to those who seek

All may be counted to stand in that line every once in a while

The promise is to all who know me as I am known and who are without guile.

“Out of the issues of the heart are deaf ears made to hear.

The heart of stone will never know I am near.

And blind eyes cannot have light to see,

If first they don’t look upon … and then into me.[73]

“There on that tree where I hung to die,

Never did I protest or ask my Father, “Why?”

My blood is Israel’s atonement – God’s part – as sundancers are bound.

But what of the water that spilled from my heart to the ground?

“Water spilled for sundancers so I could join their praise

Under the arbor, the only water all drink those four days.[74]

Water spilled can’t be undone, as the woman of Tekoa knew.

But the shedding of a tzadik’s blood; this is in the atonement, too.

“To the right hand of Creator, the tzaddikim ascend and intercede

Bringing petitions to Him to Whom for sinful man they plead

Both while alive and after buried long in the dust in their Green Fields

For the penitent, who pilgrimage there and pray to Creator, the tzaddik makes deals.

“And so I deal continually with Ephraim’s Eternal fate

Rebellion, willfulness, greed unimaginable and Hell’s every hate.

When the heifer is trained, Mama is safe again and My People live guiltless and in freedom

Commands are all there.  The heifer needs to read ‘um and teach ‘um and heed ‘um.

“Just how is the guilt determined when one is found slain in the field?

God’s inquest of His son defined by Halacha is so revealed.[75]

The city nearest that skull of a hill, Jerusalem is her name.

“His blood be on us and our children,” the people did proclaim.

“This was a willful sin written with a pen of iron and yet prophecy and blessing in disguise.

The blood upon you also redeems, Oh Jerusalem, if you see that with your eyes.[76].

“About ceremony, Father Drums, flutes and canupas, the critics are wrong, wrong, wrong and again wrong

Elijah reserved the End-Times as the stage for this band and this song

No rock stars to speak of on this humble, dark and muddy stage

Featuring a “hollow bone,” a buffalo horn, sacred tobacco, sweetgrass, cedar and sage.[77]

“Ephraim and M’nashe will be gored together in purification lodge

Horn of buffalo sundancers pour, the “hollow bone” none inside can dodge

Will humble Joseph to claim his Birthright and Return

Restored and preserved priests of Gilead; Elijah’s chosen will purify, heal, teach and learn.[78]

“Preserved because no covenant was broken[79]

To reunite Joseph for as it was written, it was earlier spoken.

Voices for Mama as her Last Days witness nears

To reconcile all Joseph with the four-legged and the winged to end violence, war and fears.[80]

“Pick up now the Torah. My Light is on every page you will read.

Hear the song I sing to you, Great Spirit helps you feed.

Read again the Gospels with this new arrow in your quiver.

See me there delivering you, healing you, ministering to your every shiver[81]

“Now to the Prophets return and discover me anew.

As your big brother, your tzadik, your intercessor ... and a Jew.

And when you’re ready, I’ll tell you so there’s no mistake,

Turn to the Epistles and prepare ... a biblical vision quest you’ll make.

See, my son, the authority you have in my name?

And know Creator gives it to all freely.  All His children are the same.

Now do you want a big surprise?  Then to the Gospels return.

Ha! Whose hand raises the dead now and heals the lame and sick

... Because the light of Torah is in YOU, you’ve discerned.[82]

“The light of Torah is the secret of glory. Thus all has come to be.

The signs and wonders you can perform when you KNOW that Wakhan anatomy.

But the light is to dispel darkness and reclaim all that was lost.

It’s to make the enemy pay seven‑fold for all that he has cost.[83]

“Find humility and add to your sixth sense the depth of Torah light and creative power.

Radiate with My glory. This is your hour.

Let your light so shine before men and change even what you cannot see.

No mountain is too big. Now you have the key.[84]

“When you begin to see and understand Creator’s ingenious plan,

You will see a spiritual kingdom, the First World reigning within you

 and your place in it

... As my eyes, my voice, my hand.

Then the sweetest of mysteries I’ll explain along with the rest...

Why Jacob said of Ephraim and M’nashe in his Dying Breath, “By you shall Israel bless.”[85]

[1] The most faithful servant to the Eternal (First World) Kingdom does not require the “sight” of dreams or visions or prophesies and would possess a healthy spiritual skepticism, the religious would call “blindness.” "My Lion" is my heart and "my Wambli" (Eagle) are my spiritual eyes.  My given name translates "Poor Lioneagle"

[2] And the earth Heb. hayah “was/BECAME” void and without form, (GENESIS 1:2), indicates Earth was created in the “very beginning” but earlier terrestrials made her useless until she was “recreated” (the Genesis story)

[3] The ministry of Native Americans is intimately tied to our Earth Mother. Because she is a living entity, the End-Times witness of Native Americans is especially critical of out-of-balance technology that could again render Mama “tohu v’bohu” (void and without form). Father Drums made from large tree trunks burned and hollowed out and covered with elk or buffalo hides, are sounded with drumsticks padded with buffalo hair as the “heartbeat” of the Earth. Canupa (CHA-NU-PAH) is not smoked but rather the sacred tobacco which represents the prayers of the people carried by the canupa carrier, is drawn and exhaled (puffed)and blown to the four directions, to the heavens above and Earth below or used to wash for purification. {Many are sick and dying because something sacred, tobacco, is today used commonly (profanely)}

[4] There is no standing exegetical evidence that Y’shua and the Creator are the same, but in fact as the poem proceeds a contrary biblical exegesis emerges. See “Native American spiritual sovereignty restored:  End-times ‘balm of Gilead’ heals land for all relations,” at www.torah-voice.org.

[5] Since White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the purification lodge and six other sacred ceremonies to the Lakota Sioux (and possibly earlier) one of the primary teachings of colors of the medicine wheel is that the Red People, Yellow People, White People and Black People are on the same wheel together. “Time of the We,” at torah-voice.org, suggests we all stem from Abraham in fulfillment of the “grafting” (mistranslated “blessed”) in Gen. 12:3b.

[6] Aho mitakuye oyasin,’ abbreviated ‘mitakuyase’ is the Lakota greeting adopted by many nations, recited by all who enter purification lodge.  It refers to the four-legged, winged and crawling creatures assumed to participate in the lodge and two-legged already inside.  It means “to all my relations.”

[7] (DEUTERONOMY 32:21; ISAIAH 11:10)

[8] Native custom is to purify before praying or drawing sacred tobacco from canupa. This is done with the smoke of sage or cedar.  Some nations such as the Cherokee, also daily “go to water,” similar to the Torah command of ‘mikveh,’ the spiritual origin of Christian ‘baptism.’  The flood of Noah was a global mikveh that purified all of the Earth. The “gathering (mikveh)” of waters into one area” GENESIS 1:9 establishes water as the instrument for both physical cleansing and spiritual purification.

[9] Heyoka are considered ‘clowns’ who do everything backwards and invite the spirit of the trickster.  Some lodges will not allow Heyoka.  Others just keep them away from the sacred fire.  But the mischief and sometimes evil they bring is considered a challenge worthy to prepare sundancers and true spiritual warriors.

[10] Purification lodges, sometimes irreverently called “sweats” are the means most Natives purify. We pray while afflicting our souls. There are no padded pews or seats. We sit upright on Mama bare-chested “gored” with the horn of a buffalo. (The shell of a buffalo horn is dipped into water, the horn dashes water against glowing “grandfather stones” who respond with steam that melts our strength – thus “goring”). In the midst of this “affliction of soul and flesh” we constantly aim arrows of prayer from our hearts.  Our prayers are our songs and our songs our prayers.  We sing the same prayers as our ancestors centuries ago.  Tenrivers and Cryingeagle are known for the "most humbling" Apache lodges off of the reservation.

[11] The biblical tithe should never be paid to an offering plate.  The first 10 percent of one’s bounty should provide for the legitimate Levites in one’s midst such as the 5 Nations Apache and the Navajo nation (minimally) or Jewish ‘koheinim’ (priests) or those with an extra Y chromosome who teach Torah.  The second ma’aser (10 percent) provides for ‘your’ poor for four of every seven years.  Only after these tithes are paid should non-Levitical works or other ministries be supported, less Malachi warned, one ‘robs God.’

[12] Until Ephraim learns respect for me (Mama), Ephraim is incapable of respect for the life that comes from me or that I nurture,” heard from the dust in purification lodge on Mother’s Day, 2011. GENESIS 48:19 referring to Ephraim, and ROMANS 11:25‑27 in the Aramaic P’shita both employ the term “melo ha-goyim” literally, “fullness of the Gentiles.”

[13] Evidence points to 38 Athap(b)ascan Language Group nations including the Navajo and Apache 5 Nations linked to the ancient Gileadite priesthood, the “preserved of Israel” of Isaiah 49:6-8.  Since their covenant was never removed, they require only RESTORATION to and REMEMBRANCE of Torah.

[14] A “nation of priests,” as Gilead would have been in North America before settlers arrived, would sanctify the land, as evidenced in reverence for the Earth in Native ceremony throughout the Americas.

[15] I was given the name “ben Yoseif” (son of Joseph) after a “bat Kol” (voice from Heaven) validated by several rabbis now deceased and other non-Jewish spiritual leaders but especially by my personal mentor and friend, the Rebbe Shani Dor of the Revived Sanhedrin after challenged to ask Creator “Who you (me)are? And what does Creator want you to do?”:

“You are the son of Joseph (ben Yoseif), your father.  And I have given you your father Joseph’s heart for his brother, Judah. And I am turning the hearts of the sons of Joseph to their father Joseph, and I am turning the hearts of the sons of Judah to their father,Judah, because there was no enmity and vexation between Joseph and Judah who were reconciled in Egypt, but the enmity and vexation is between their sons.”

[16] Gilead hails from never removed from covenant East M’nashe.  M’nashe comes from the Hebrew root meaning “to forget.” Remembrance of Torah and especially the laws of purity are crucial to the preparation of Gilead for its End-Times priesthood. There is power in purity.

[17] The strongest evidence the dance was choreographed by an ancient Hebrew priest includes permutations of the Divine Name and the choice of a tree rather than an animal to be sacrificed with the fatty flesh and blood necessary for atonement from shallow, non-life-threatening but painful piercings.

[18] (ROMANS 3:21‑27; GALATIANS 2:15‑16) led me on a path to discover the importance of the Torah to non-Jews.  I subsequently discovered many non-Jews being drawn to Torah are actually Lost Sheep from the assimilated Northern Kingdom.  Great Spirit had me seek out the relevance of Torah to My People, the Nations of Native America.

[19]  The three judgments of “Jezreel,” Hebrew (Yizra’el, meaning “the seed God will scatter”) and a play on the name, Yisrael, which would prophetically be hidden; “Lo-ruhamah” (Without Mercy) and “Lo-ami” (Not My People) are clearly the severing of the Northern Kingdom from Covenant.  These judgments in Hosea 1, find their remedy in the prophecies before his birth and during his infancy, which conclude Y’shua to be Creator’s “remembrance of His mercy for His People Israel.” (See Matthew and Luke). The Hebrew and Aramaic texts even remedy the same “buzz words” found in Hosea 1.  But note that Hosea 1:7 excludes the House of Judah (the Jewish People) from the terms of this severed covenant. The buzz words Yizra’el, Lo-ruhamah and Lo-ami and their remedy are the exegetical continuity between the Hebrew Tanach (Genesis through Malachi) and the reNewed Covenant (New Testament). They also reflect the overall theme of the Prophets:  The scattering of an unfaithful betrothed (House of Israel) and her regathering initiated by an anointed suffering tzaddik and eventual reunion with the House of Judah.

[20] (ISAIAH 53:3; MATTHEW 10:22; 15:12‑14; MARK 13:13; LUKE 21:17; JOHN 15:18; HEBREWS 10:16‑18)

[21] Jesus preached the ‘Gospel of the Restoration of the Kingdom of Israel’ and said this gospel would find and return the House of Israel to reunite with the House of Judah in the Last Days.  This is also in keeping with the three missions of messiah son of David in Isaiah 49:6-8 to “raise up the tribes of Jacob, restore the preserved of Israel and be a light to the Gentiles.” In promoting a gospel only about Jesus and which deifies him, the Church has ignored these other charges and in the words of Isaiah made its commission unnecessarily more difficult.

[22] Daganoweida, otherwise known as the ‘Peacemaker,” was a Huron leader who lived in the 10th Century C.E.  Both his mother and his grandmother reported his virgin birth.  He brought the G’yana Shagowa (Great Law) to the Six Nation Haudenausaunee (Iroquois) and ended cannibalism. The Great Law had as its preamble, “No poor, no orphans, no jails"  and left the decision to go to war with  the clan mothers.  Due to the friendship of the Haudenausaune with Jefferson, Madison, Franklin and others, the Great Law became basic to the framing of the U.S. Constitution.  However the social costs associated with living on Turtle Island,” have been circumvented with the lie that attracted settlers, America was the “land of the free.” Schooled in avoiding the biblical tithe to care for the needs of Levites and the poor, this burden of caring for the poor was left to the government with no provision for Levites, due to the separation clause.  And the Ephraimite settlers with hate in their sails saw America as their “Manifest Destiny,” to displace the Native populations.

[23] (GENESIS 18:11‑12)

[24] A righteous man/woman who overcomes his/her evil inclination in this life so they live to help others do so.  After passing, they remain a “bridge.”

[25] The Passover seder ruled irrelevant for all Christians at the 325 C.E. council of Nicea, includes the re-enactment of the renewal of covenant with the broken unleavened wafer (afikomen representing the broken Book of the Covenant read to all Israel by Moses) and the Blood of the Covenant sprinkled on the people when they vowed to both DO and UNDERSTAND the Torah.  Without the seder and its Torah foundation to determine the context of the covenant, these emblems have been wildly interpreted contributing to a 1700-year “schism” and divide between Joseph and Judah.. (See www.torah-voice.org/PassoverPrimer.htm).

[26] (GENESIS 22:13; MATTHEW 27:29; MARK 15:17; JOHN 19:2,5)

[27] From Aramaic P’shita, MATTHEW 27:46; MARK 15:34; JOHN 17:5,22. This interpretation presupposes that Y’shua’s words on the cross were Aramaic. For the statement to have been a question, the sentence must be preceded with the interrogative “Mittel," which does not appear.  Also, the question in Psalm 22, theologinans state Y’shua was quoting, records the Hebrew word “azathani.” The Aramaic “shabakthani” can mean “to leave (erroneously translated “forsake”) in the same sense that the word “leave” is used by many in North America instead of “let.”  It's truer connotation is “to allow or permit.” Thus Y’shua is not questioning the fate Grandfather ordained for him, which he accepted in the Garden of Gethsemane.  Rather he is proclaiming his victory ... that his mission and destiny was to die the death of a suffering tzaddik hanging on a tree to atone for the sins of the severed tribes of Israel and ”whosoever will.”  Also, to whom would Y’shua be speaking if he made this proclamation in the form of a question, “Why?” If for those who heard and who would later tell and retell, the answer is the same.  God “forsook” his son (defined by Halacha)  for the willful sin of mankind.

[28] Aramaic and Hebrew “New Testaments” call the book “Brit Chadashah.”  Chadash is the Hebrew verb meaning “to renew, restore or repair.”  Thus the “reNewed Covenant” to Torah.  There is nothing at all “new” about this covenant for assimilated Israel, only the obligation to return to its everlasting terms.

[29] (EXODUS 12:46; NUMBERS 9:12; ISAIAH 53:5; HEBREWS 10:19‑20)

[30] (MATTHEW 27:51; MARK 15:38; LUKE 23:45; HEBREWS 9:11‑14)

[31] (HEBREWS 12:24‑25)

[32] The decree removing the Torah feasts and dismissing Torah observance from the dogma of the Church made by Constantine’s Nicea council in 325 C.E. ruled irrelevant the very Passover seder celebration necessary to understand the renewal of covenant. Passover is an eternal command to which all of Israel or who would be called Israel are eternally obligated.

[33] (HEBREWS 12:24‑25). The order (seder) of the four cups of the Passover Seder meal as recorded in the writings of ancient sages is based on Exodus 6:6-8:  “Rescue” and “Redemption” before the meal, then “Covenant” after eating the unleavened wafer representing the “broken Book of the Covenant,” and finally, with Elijah’s help, the “Return.” (www.torah-voice.org/PassoverPrimer.htm).  Also See Mishna Mo'ed Pesach 10.

[34] Anointed = “messiah” from Hebrew. “moshiah.”  Tragically, the Greek “christos” has been deified into “Christ” as a “God figure,” in violation of the First Command of the Ten Commandments.  See also footnote 38 below.

[35] (MATTHEW 26:27‑29;  MARK 14:22‑25; LUKE 22:20)_

[36] Since all of the Torah is sung in synagogues, this is a euphemism referring one back to the Torah.

[37] “Derek, emet, chaim,” “Way, Truth and Life” are defined as “Torah,” “Torah” and “Torah” in Psalm 119.

[38] “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and God the Word.  The same was together with God in the beginning” (JOHN 1:1-2), my translation from Aramaic P’shita restoring “rule of association,” missed by Greek redactors which condenses “John was with Jane and Jane was with John” to “John was with Jane and Jane, John” omitting the stative verb “WAS” and the preposition.  Prefigured in the Torah itself, the Torah has undergone several “incarnations.”  First, as recorded in Deuteronomy 33:2, “a fiery law” from Creator’s Right Hand (confirming the revelation by John that the two were together in the very beginning).  The flame of the Law was morphed so the people could touch it, when the Torah was manifest at Sinai. And lastly a magnification of the Torah into humanity with Y’shua, the Torah made flesh.

[39] In Gen. 12:3b “nivrecu” is properly translated “grafted or intermingled,” and not the alleged niphal (passive) form of a brachas (blessing). This according to the Torah sages Chizkuni, Da’as Zekeinim, Tur and Rashbam. See Artscroll Bereshit (Genesis) commentary on Genesis 12:3b.  Available in two volumes, 2,232 pages from Mesorah Publications 1-800-MESORAH. [40] Our original exegesis of Hosea 1-4, “Native American spiritual sovereignty restored:  End-times ‘balm of Gilead’ heals land for all relations,” details the reconciliation of Joseph-Ephraim with Joseph M’nashe through the humbling of Native E. M’nashe (Gilead) purification lodges.

[41] An ingenious permutation of the Divine Name, Y and H and W and H.  It both conceals the unutterable name and derives 10 combinations of these four letters in just 7 letters reading them both left to right and right to left.  The name itself is present in the middle. However, the name is properly pronounced as a “shem ha-meforash” or “Named by its letters (Yod and Heh and Vov and Heh) and not with vowels, so even the Halacha of Orthodox Judaism is not violated.  The mystical practice of permuting the Divine Name is a priestly development, therefore traced to Moses or early Hebrew priests teaching these permutations … to priests.

[42] (EXODUS 6:2‑3, EXODUS 15:1‑2) We take poetic license with the text to suggest that since the Divine Name was not uttered (except by the High Priest one day a year), that permutations were early initiated and passed on from one generation of priests to another.  Thus the “Song of Moses.”  Y’shua also prayed, “Our Father who art in Heaven HOLY (Sacred or WAKHAN) is Thy Name.”  Wakhan” is a term that surfaces first in the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan, Escaped from Pakistan through the Kyber Pass into the corridor, East M’nashe and Gilead followed watersheds and streams into Tibet.. It comes from the Third Letter of the Divine Name, pronounced "WAH," by Natives and an abbreviation of KOHEIN, (Khan), a Hebrew priest. It is translated, “Sacred,” in Afghanistan possibly because the corridor is where Eastern and Western Asia converge.  But sacred, never removed from covenant Hebrew priests once dwelled there.  It has the same meaning, “sacred,” today to Native Americans.  The Hebrew understanding of  "Sacred," (Kadosh) is something "set apart."  So  Y'shua himself recognized that the Divine Name is unutterable to all but the priests equipped in Torah to "place the Name on the people."

[43] (GENESIS 22:14) Note that there is no reference to Isaac being a “sacrifice,” but rather he was “elevated.”  After his being “offered up” he never left the land that would later be called Israel.  He was so in tune with Mama, that had he done so, it would have reduced the holiness of the Holy Land.

[44] (GENESIS 22:8; ISAIAH 53:7) Willful sin has no atonement except through the suffering by a holy tzadik. This was a limitation Moses himself placed on the atonement by omitting reference to “pesha” (willful sin) in EXODUS 34:9. Compare EXODUS 34:7 where Creator states He also forgives pesha.

[45] (JOHN 18:1; 2 SAMUEL 15:23)

[46] (MICAH 5:1; MATTHEW 2:1‑5; LUKE 2:4).  Also see how Chri$tma$ hijacked the “Holy Torah ‘Christmas’ Story” at www.torah-voice.org/images/htcs.htm.

[47] (EZEKIEL 34:23).  Israel consists of two houses:  The House of Judah or the Jewish people comprising largely Judah, Simeon, Levi and parts of Dan and Benjamin.  The House of Israel comprises the Northern Ten Tribes of  Gad and Reuben east of the Jordan and West M’nashe, Ephraim, Issachar, Zebulun, Naphtali, Asher, and the remainder of Dan and Benjamin west of the Jordan.  East M’nashe assimilated with the priests of Gilead, associated with Elijah THE Gileadite, occupied the East Bank and went into exile remaining in covenant. (See our research on the migration of East M’nashe and Gilead at www.torah-voice.org/AAcovermarch2011.htm)

[48] (ISAIAH 55:10‑11; 2 CORINTHIANS 9:10).  All things should be done with the motive that The People May Live.

[49] See Footnote 39 above. This “Name” is also part of two 13-letter permutations of the letters Y and H and W and H sung and drummed as sundancers are pierced (The Sundance Piercing Song).  This represents the Divine Name in mystical priestly language.  Mystic sages are still looking for a 26-letter permutation, known to exist.

[50] (JEREMIAH 31:31‑34; JOHN 4:9‑14)

[51] In biblical times, Elijah’s ministry was almost exclusively to the Northern Ten Tribes. Known as ha-Gil’adi (THE Gileadite) it is only logical that his End-Times ministry may also be found where Gilead is engaged in purification rituals and in priestly ceremony.

[52] (REVELATION 22:13)

[54] (PSALM 110:1‑3; MARK 12:28‑37 in its entirety)

[55] Writing a command on one’s heart is an idiomatic way of saying to “observe the Torah with a heart-desire to do so.”  This will also be the “renewed Covenant” of JEREMIAH 31:31, when like the Jewish people, the House of Joseph will return fully to the Torah with a heart desire to do so.

[56] (GENESIS 26:5 and GENESIS 18:8) Re: A “Kosher kitchen,” Abraham ate only the meat from animals that had been earlier sanctified by Noah after the flood.  Noah sacrificed two of every CLEAN animal after which Creator allowed mankind to consume meat.  But there was never sanctification given to the descendants of Abraham to eat any unclean animals.  This includes that staple of the American diet, Pork.  With the realization that “the soul is in the blood,” (LEVITICUS 17:11-14), the impurities associated with Pork serve as a deadening or numbing agent to the soul, in much the same way that one who constantly feeds on discordant and unharmonic music and some forms of rock music deaden or numb their sensitivity to more subtle movements in classical music.

[57] (JOHN 8:32)

[58] Y’shua was born in an empty succah (manger) on Simhat Torah, the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles when the people had to linger but could vacate their succahs and filled the inns. Zechariah wrote one day the entire world would celebrate this festival … or the nations who did not would have drought.

[59] Sundance

[60] Unless one first tithes to the Levite in one’s midst (who teaches Torah or performs priestly ceremony) and “your poor” four of every seven years, every penny going into the offering plate “robs God” and feeds greed. All stock market crashes coincide with the end of a sh’mitah year (the seventh year in a cycle).  This may not be coincidental since the biblical tithe to the Levites for the previous six years and the poor for a prior four years, must be paid by the end of every sh’mitah year.

[61] “Tomorrow will be the new moon,” indicates the moon had to be “molad” or in its dark state that night for David to be certain.

[62] Ancient Torah sages wrote the flood of Noach was caused when Creator removed two stars out of position from the star cluster Pleiades.  (See how righting these two linked stars mimicks the “goring of a buffalo.” When righted, they would form a 6-pointed star that will traverse the night sky on relatively the same plane as the sun during the day.. torah-voice.org/pleiades.htm)

[73] After first gazing upon the tree of covenant renewal, looking into the Torah of the nation.

[74] (JOHN 19:30‑37).  It is considered a good thing to eat and drink heartily while the sundancers suffer because they draw their physical strength from the people; but food or drink is not allowed under the arbor where the dance occurs.

[75] (DEUTERONOMY 21:1‑9; 2 SAMUEL 14:9,14).  Halacha (the practical walking out of Torah commands) in detailing permitted relations to a father and his son, rules that only a “son” can legally marry a woman who had been betrothed to his father but had been unfaithful, provided the marriage was never consummated.  The language at Sinai where Israel is betrothed is that of k’dushin (betrothal) and not n’suim (consummation), so “ONE WHO WOULD BE CALLED ‘SON OF GOD’ (as the reNewed Testament describes Y’shua) has authority according to Halacha to “recovenant” the unfaithful Northern Tribes.

[76] (MATTHEW 26:26‑28, 27:4,24‑25)

[77] The sundancer who pours lodge and leads the prayer is considered a “hollow bone” through which Great Spirit and Mama’s medicines heal.

[78] (DEUTERONMY 33:15-17 states the “goring” with the horn of a “re’eim,” identified by Rashi as “the wild ox associated with Joseph” contextually reunites Joseph Ephraim and Joseph M’nashe. Also, Elijah is called “Ha-Giladi” (THE Gileadite) in a song sung by all of Judah at the close of every Shabbat.

[79] Ephraim on the West Bank sold out the priests of Gilead, earlier associated with Elijah THE Gileadite, and East M’nashe when tribute was paid to Assyria to avoid exiling the West Bank. So East M’nashe and Gilead went into exile 17-23 years before Creator severed covenant with the Northern Tribes sending them into exile. See www.torah-voice.org/Geronimoreturns.htm
