Native delegation asks LDS Church

to fund 'Aztlan' Sun Dance

Bulletin update: 2-14-08

Membreno Apache spiritual leader Jimmy Tenrivers, co-founder of Iglesia de Aztlan (assembling of the Homeland) today received a $3,000 check from the LDS Church Foundation to help fund the Sun Dance.

"This is a very important start toward relieving the stewards and followers of the Book of Mormon from a great sense of guilt and failure and judgment. The failure of the LDS Church to act before now on behalf of the plight of Native Americans has directly led to the wars between European immigrants (sprinkled with Ephraim) and the descendants of Lehi ben M'nashe ben Yoseif (Native Americans assimilated with Lehi's sons).

Had the followers of Joseph Smith simply come forward with the simple truth that these wars were "brothers fighting brothers," or had the LDS Church spoken up for the Native Americans, much misery and massacre could have been avoided.  A very great weight is beginning to lift with this assistance.

Tenrivers is thankful for all the help received in connection with the Sun Dance from the LDS Church and other sources. MbY says, "They (the LDS Church) could and should do more -- much more."

HOW DONATIONS

ARE USED:

Note:  Maggid ben Yoseif is called to teach Torah and the Torah roots of the covenant between the God of Israel and the children of Israel to Native American elders.  Your contributions make you a part of this work and its reward in the World to Come.

He is especially seeking Torahs  and Haftorah's for this important Torah study at the Eastern Gate of the Sacred Four Corners  with these Indeh elders interested in the growing evidence of the Hebrew origins of their Covenant. (Geniza copies would suffice and reverence for The Name is asssured).

MbY also has recently purchased a HUD repossession that had been vacant several years. With the help of local Apache, he is renovating this 102-year-old house on Pennsylvania Avenue in Walsenburg, CO., as a home for Eldersgate.  The house will serve the needs of Native American elders and elders of other indigenous peoples while they attend the purification lodges and get to know the Apache community and their important End Times vision during extended stays.

When Native American elders are not occupying the premises, MbY said other Joes would be welcome to visit and attend purification lodges and Torah studies.

"The goal is to unite the descendants of European Ephraim with Native M'nashe, what should have been done in this country when the settlers first arrived."  The house will also become the base of operations for MbY and the Jerusalem Torah Voice in Exile.  An internet broadcast studio is also planned, together with a library for which more than 6,000 books already have been donated.

A personal note:

"As a son or daughter of European- assimilated Ephraim, you can make no greater contribution to show your love and support and encouragement for your brother, M'nashe. Here at the Eastern Gate of the sacred region today called "Four Corners," a band of about 60 families of Membreno Apache mixed with Indio-Chicano have been told to "prepare a place for elders when they arrive at the Eastern Gate."
